Comments:

Parking nearby on the opposite side of the A6 - Can be difficult to cross.  Alternative parking in a Layby just to the South.  other alternatives might be Helsington Laithes Manor if you happen to be staying there or Lumley road.

There is no pavement on this side of the road south of the turning for Helsington Laithes, but the grass is generally well-cut.
