Entry onto disused rail bed via dirt track up short, steep slope.

Rail bed is pretty level - it would have to be afterall as at one point it would have carried railway lines ;)

It is quite muddy though in places - wellies are useful.

The exit from the rail bed down to the lower level is a natural gently sloping path - no scrambling down steep slopes required.

Once off the rail bed the track is a good, solid farm track which could carry vehicular traffic (or cars, in plain english) but I imagine it is classed as a private road.

A skilled mountain biker could probably get here OK via this route. Anything else on wheels would probably struggle via this particular route.

OTHER ROUTES ARE AVAILABLE.
