Comments:

There is parking at approximately 53.629279, -2.548303. There is a gate to negotiate and then some fairly steep and rocky paths and the last one hundred feet or so is off into woodland. Not one for less abled cachers I feel but, as usual, the final decision is yours. Hope this helps.

Cheers

Schnuz.

p.s. Please let me know if these reviews are in any way helpful as they are time consuming and reports would indicate that no-one uses this facility. I will continue to rate each cache I visit for at least six months but if I get no reply I may well knock it on the head. Of course if I get an affirmative reply after that I will resume the rating of caches. Well over a year since I first posting this extra note with no reply as to if it is of any use, I'm coming to the conclusion that I am wasting my time completely :( .

Comments:

I parked at Rivington Barn @ approx. N 53° 37.427 W 002° 33.497 which is around 0.85m to the cache.

It may be possible to park nearer if you head towards the parking coordinates for Rufus 1 and do the caches in order.

The path I took was mostly uphill, very steep in places. There were steps and a very uneven, bumpy road.

The final few metres is up a steep slope and you may need to duck at GZ to avoid low hanging branches.

5 = Distance to cache  = More than 1 mile (1.6km)
3 = Route surface  = Gravel/curbs
4 = Route slope  = 10% to 20% for LESS than 500ft (150m)
2 = Route obstructions  = Route width less than 3ft (1m)/thin vegetation
2 = Cache height  = 0ft to 3ft above ground (0cm to 1m)

Comments:

We parked at N 53° 36.574 W 002° 31.749 as we were completing the series in order.

It is possible to park closer than this if you wish to do them out of sequence.

The 'road' we walked along for most of the route is very uneven, broken by boulders and potholed in places - so you wouldn't really want to take your car much further than we did in that direction.

Could probably ride a mountain bike along the 'road' but wouldn't take anything else on wheels along there.

Short, steep climb to GZ of 6 or 7 metres. Small trees quite close together, might need to duck.
