Comments:
The Hard Approach: Many cachers would park at the Jerome Buddie Ford Nature Center at 5750 Sanger Avenue (N 38°49.686' W 077°07.953'). From here, one must descend into the park on about 100 feet of steep steps made of dirt and railroad ties. There's mulch and rocks on and around the steps, too. Folks who have difficulty with exertion or surefootedness should be cautious about this choice.
An Easier Approach: Holmes Run Trail, which runs through the park, enters it on North Morgan Street (N 38°49.515' W 077°07.960'). This entrance is farther from the cache, but it's a paved path (often used by cyclists) that's not nearly so steep. There is some street parking on North Morgan Street just across North Beauregard Street.
Whichever entrance you choose, the paved Holmes Run Trail will take you most of the way to the cache.
The unavoidable difficulty is the last few yards to the cache. One must exit the paved path onto a dirt trail with a few railroad tie steps surrounded by rocks and tree roots. I've added a photo to the Geocaching.com gallery that depicts the steps. Please check it out to see whether this location is OK for you.
